ADF has already formed working partnerships with a number of Baptist church leaders, Christian Aid and the African and Caribbean Evangelical Alliance. To ensure that ADF operational practice is in line with Christian principles, Dr Robert Beckford has been enlisted as ADF’s theological adviser. 




Wale Hudson- Roberts

The Revd Wale Hudson- Roberts is a Baptist Minister and was the pastor of a Baptist church in North London which he served for eight years before taking up his post as the Baptist Union's first National Racial Justice Co-ordinator.  Wale serves the Baptist Union by developing resources to enable the creation of a multicultural Baptist family.  He is also the founder and chair of the African Development Forum. 




Dionne Gravesande

Dionne is the Head of Churches at Christian Aid a leading and world renowned international development agency. Dionne is also Chair of the Council of the African Caribbean Evangelical Alliance (ACEA) and a key board member of the New Testament Church of God national youth board.




Robert Beckford

Dr Robert Beckford is a theologian, educator, author and award-winning broadcaster.  An educator for most of his life, he first taught adult literacy at Bournville College in Birmingham in the early 1990s and progressed to become the first ever tutor in Black Theology at Queens College, Birmingham (1992-8)
Robert is the author of five publications including Jesus is Dread and Dread and Pentecostal. As one of the most prolific black documentary presenters in Britain, his credits include Empire Pays Back (2005) The Great Africa Scandal (2007), The Secrets of the 12 Disciples (2008) and Decoding the Nativity (2008)

Clare Short

Clare Short was Secretary of State for International Development in the UK Labour government between 1997and May 2003.  She now sits as
the independent Member of Parliament for Birmingham Ladywood.  Amongst other things Clare is a member of the Advisory Committee of International Lawyers for Africa, a Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Trafficking of Women and a member of the Borad of Trustees of African Humanitarian Action.

Clare Short is an Advisor for the African Development Forum.
